Dennis Brophy, Standards Group Chairman, Delivers Keynote at World's First Virtual Design Automation Exhibition


CAMPBELL, Calif. - April 16, 2002 - Virtual DACafé, the world's first virtual electronic design automation tradeshow, is pleased to announce the participation of Accellera Chairman Dennis Brophy, who will deliver a keynote address, entitled "Language Standards and Design Tool Interoperability--Where Are We Headed?" He will share the virtual podium with Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli, who will deliver a filmed keynote address on EDA Technology. All Virtual DACafé keynote addresses will be viewable by registered show attendees at the April 23 to April 25, 2002 virtual event in the Auditorium.

"As the design world conducts more business online than ever, the time for a venue such as Virtual DACafé is now. I am delighted to deliver one of the keynote addresses for this "virtual" conference," Brophy said. "Virtual DACafé offers the design community expanded access to cutting-edge technology and in a format for a wider audience than traditional conferences. Dennis B. Brophy is chairman of Accellera, an electronic design automation standardization group and director of strategic business development at Model Technology, a Mentor Graphics company. Brophy has been in the electronic design automation industry for the past 21 years. He was first with Hewlett-Packard for five years, and then joined Mentor Graphics where he has held several positions the past 16 years. In addition to his current role in Accellera, Brophy is also active in the IEEE and the International Electrotechnical Commissions (IEC), based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Virtual DACafé takes place Tuesday, April 23, 2002 to Thursday, April 25, 2002 from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M, PST. Attendees may also access the show during off hours until June 7, 2002. Early bird registration and sweepstakes entry is now open at www.virtualdacafe.com.
